There were so many characters I loved, some I despised with my whole being and some that were.just there. Some people may not like this style or think it can't be executed properly, but Robertson doesn't disappoint at all. It's unique and worked well for this story's multiple perspectives and storylines. This is my first book by Robertson I have read, and the first thing that caught my attention was his writing style. I was drawn to it from the grisly beginning to the climactic ending. So grab yourself a copy (it’s available from July 1st 2022) on Amazon! Just don’t indulge your sweet tooth and stay away from any cotton candy you may find lying around… no maat how delicious it may look.Ĭlowns, chaos and gore? What did you expect with a title entitled 'The Cotton Candy Massacre'? This story was anything but sweet as its title loosely suggests. And his humour balances the bloody bits of his stories perfectly!
